The things that matter to us

The things that matter to us

enjoy yourselves working together

At UKCE we want you to learn English (although that’s out first priority) but we also want you to enjoy yourselves. We have many ways, in and out of the classroom, to engage our students and make them feel part of the UKCE family. Our students come from all over the world. We love to embrace that. During our classes we delve into British culture. We also love to find out about other cultures too and learn about our students’ countries too. Our teachers are from all over the world too. They are from different English-speaking countries, such as Canada, America, Ireland and obviously plain old England too.

Languages connect people

Yes. It’s true, languages connect people. Here at UKCE, we aim to teach you English that you can use to connect and communicate with other people. After a while though, you may get bored of talking to the other students in your class, (they’re small groups). How do we help you? Once every month we have a get-together with all the classes to do a massive group project based on a different topic every month. Here you get to talk to lots of new people and make new friends. Most importanty, you get to watch teachers go crazy trying to make sure you have as much fun as possible. We spend a long time planning and preparing these sessions because we want you guys to have fun and to learn about each other . To do that we need to work together and enjoy each other’s company.

We love to party

Lots of companies pay lip service, but here at UKCE we work to actively break down potential barriers through action. We have a super fun and active social program.  You can visit different sights in our beautiful city of London, spend the day in Cambridge or take a tour of the markets and theatres. We aim to help you embrace the UK as a whole. It’s great fun and it’s another chance to make new friends! We encourage all of our students to take part in our social programmes to celebrate and embrace the diversity of our wonderful school. At UKCE, we want you to learn English but also to  enjoy yourselves

London is a diverse and multicultural city.  You can introduce your new friends to your own cultural aspects too, such as food. Who doesn’t love going to a new restaurant? We also celebrate different festivities during these programmes and have a student party every year for Christmas too.

So come and join us here at UKCE and make some new friends along way, even if they are half way across the world.
